Artist's Comments
My final project for Painting I, we pick what portrait we want to do and I had this really neat photo from NekoCon of me and my friend Mikel, which accidentally had her head cut off. I liked it, so I used the fact that her face was half gone to my creative advantage. I love how this came out. It's the only one of my paintings I actually like. It's like Valentines Day exploded all over her face.
Done in oil paints which is a tricky medium when you first start out with it. It's also why everything is so shiny. Mikel: [link] (c) Mine! |
